HydroComp, Inc. 30 Year Celebration continues with new Company Video, presentations, and trade shows in 4th Quarter 2014.

We are eager to announce the launching of a new video highlighting our company, products and services! This video aspires to outlining us as well as the culture that has formed around us all across the globe. What began in 1984 as a focus in applied hydrodynamics has expanded to include multiple software products, consulting and collaborations worldwide. We have a very busy autumn schedule and you won’t want to miss one of the following events.

We get started with a Webinar on October 21 highlighting the debut of PropCad 2014. Adam Kaplan, our principal PropCad development specialist will demonstrate the powerful updates to PropCad 2014. Donald MacPherson is presenting a paper at the SNAME Maritime Convention in Houston on Thursday, October 23 at 9:30 am (T37) entitled: Understanding and Optimizing Vessel Propulsive Power and Fuel Use: Using Duty Cycle Analysis Computations.

That very same week, our project engineers Adam Kaplan and Anthony Edmonds, are delivering not one, but two presentations at the National Marine Propeller Association (NMPA) annual convention in Las Vegas. On October 23, listen to Propeller design services: from pool toys to cruise ships. This will be an engaging topic that explores HydroComp’s propeller design history featuring a variety of interesting propeller projects completed for clients. On October 24, we will offer an Introduction to our PropExpert and PropCad propeller software.

November 6 we are hosting here in New Hampshire our NavCad “Best Practices” Training Course. This course is the ideal venue to quickly raise the level of your professional skills, and exploit the full capability and strength of the newest version of NavCad. This is one of our small group training classes, where discussions can be easily customized to participants’ interest. A week later we take off to Amsterdam, Netherlands, where we will be busy! We begin with our PropCad “Best Practices” Training Course on November 17. PropCad is the industry-standard tool for the geometric design of marine propellers. This class will be remarkable as it will specifically address three years of intensive development about the new added features to PropCad 2014. http://hydrocompinc.com/propcadbestpractices

That very same night at the historical Rode Hoed (Red Hat), Don MacPherson is giving a presentation at the PechaKucha event. (20 slides that with automatically flip after 20 seconds per slide). Don’s talk: “If I had a Hammer…” will surely inspire the audience. It will be a lively evening.

Our final event in Amsterdam is exhibiting at the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) from November 18-20. HydroComp is exhibiting in the USA Pavilion in Hall 11. Stand No. 11.630. We are part of the “Best of New England” section. It has been a few years since we have participated at METS, so we are eager to demonstrate the latest additions to our programs. It’s also a great time to make new friends and reunite with old acquaintances and colleagues. We are delighted Cora Villa from our European representative VICUSdt is joining us too. And don’t forget, on Wednesday evening, November 19th, come join us for the reception in the USA Pavilion!
